Who We Are

At Quintillion Trading and Investments (QTI) Limited, we are a legally registered limited liability company pioneering the waste-to-energy project in Zambia.

Zambia generates over 1.3 million tons of waste annually, yet less than 10% is sustainably processed. This presents a critical opportunity for innovative solutions. Our innovative solutions are designed to transform waste into sustainable energy, setting industry standards for efficiency and environmental responsibility.

About the Waste-to-Energy Project

The Problem and Opportunity: Dual Crisis – Waste & Energy

  Waste Management Crisis:

1.3M+ tons/year of waste generated, with less than 10% managed sustainably, leading to environmental pollution and health risks.

Energy Deficit:

A 2,000 MW power gap is stifling economic growth by limiting industrial expansion and job creation.

Opportunity:

400,000+ tons/year of waste processed through our advanced waste-to-energy facility will generate 51MW of clean energy.

$1.09M–$1.26M annual gross revenue(Years 3–12) following plant commissioning and ramp-up to full operational capacity.

Our Approach

At QTI, we take a holistic approach to waste to energy management using high tec equipment.

Using the modular and scalable waste to energy machinery, we are able process over 400,000 tons of municipal solid waste annually, generating 1.2 MWh (1,200kWh) of electricity per ton of feedstock. Operating 24/7/365, the plant’s conservative annual production is 10,512,000 kWh.

About the Waste-to-Energy Project

Our Mission

Develop a Comprehensive Waste Management Framework: Efficiently collect, sort, and process municipal solid waste into feedstock.

Harness Modular and Scalable WtE Technology: Generate 1.2 MWh of energy per metric ton of feedstock, ensuring 24/7/365 operation.

Promote a Circular Economy: Maximize resource recovery and recycling, minimizing landfill reliance.

Strategic Advantages

  • Scalability: Modular design allows for expansion from initial capacity of [350tons/day] to [ 700+tons/day] to meet growing energy demands INTEC SG 300 technology ensures high energy output and 24/7 operation, maximizing revenue potential.

  • Government Backing: Feasibility study authorized by Zambia’s Ministry of Energy, demonstrating strong government support and alignment with national energy priorities.
  • Market Leadership: QTI is the only project in Zambia integrating end-to-end waste management and waste-to-energy, creating a distinct competitive advantage and securing a first-mover advantage.

  • Regulatory: Active collaboration with Zambian government. This suggests the company continually endeavors to cultivate a strong relationship with the Zambian government, potentially through partnerships, approvals, or licenses. A strategic and significant advantage, as it can streamline processes, reduces bureaucratic hurdles, and demonstrates credibility. We strictly align with government priorities, which could lead to further support.
  • Reliable and high-quality technology: The company uses technology from INTEC, a German engineering firm, and this technology is insured. This highlights the use of high-quality, reliable technology. German engineering is often associated with precision and efficiency. The insurance adds a layer of security and trust, mitigating potential risks associated with the technology.
  • Market: Diversified revenue (energy + recycling). The company's revenue comes from two sources: energy generation and recycling. This diversification reduces reliance on a single revenue stream, making the business more resilient to market fluctuations or changes in one sector. A diversified and resilient business model.
  • Feedstock: Secure access to essential resources (Long-term agreements with municipalities). The company will secure long-term contracts with local governments to receive the raw materials (feedstock) needed for its operations. This ensures a stable and predictable supply of feedstock, which is crucial for consistent operations and long-term planning. It also suggests a strong relationship with local authorities.
